To prepare for a lip filler treatment at AMARA, do not take any anti-inflammatories like ibuprofen or Advil, or any supplements including St. John’s Wort, or fish oil one week prior to the treatment. We also ask guests to avoid drinking any alcoholic beverage 24 hours prior to treatment.

We advise guests not to drink any alcoholic beverages, smoke, or drink through a straw for the first 24 hours after having a treatment of lip filler. To reduce swelling or the chances of filler moving from the target area, sleep on your back with your head raised using 2 to 3 pillows. Make sure you stay hydrated as well.

You should see immediate results from your session of lip filler in AMARA. It’s normal for there to be some swelling or bruising at the injection sites that should disappear after a few days. Full results will be visible after 2 weeks.

The results of your lip filler session should last from 6 months to a year depending on your body’s metabolism and other factors. The lips are one of the most active parts of the face, which can cause the filler to metabolize faster.
